Who is ieMentor?

ieMentor is a young international company created by a group of Cisco® certified engineers with diverse backgrounds and years of networking and teaching experience.

Who are the instructors?

All ieMentor’s instructors are Cisco® certified. For courses of intermediate and expert level, all instructors are CCIE® certified.

Where are the classes held?

The classes are taught throughout the world, primarily in North America and Europe. New locations are being added weekly based on customer demand. To find active locations, visit our interactive map: http://www.iementor.com/locate.php

Can the training facilities accommodate someone with a disability or special access needs?

Most of our live training is conducted in the facilities where the regional codes for disability or special access needs are met. If you have special needs or restrictions, please contact our sales team prior to registration to ensure that all of your needs are accommodated.

Are ieMentor courses available via distance learning?

All of our courses are available in the distance learning format via WebEx. Please contact support@iementor.com for more information.

In what languages are the classes taught?

All ieMentor’s courses are offered in English.

What if the location in which I’m interested isn’t listed?

There are multiple approaches to this. We have an online form where you can select from several different options available to you: http://www.iementor.com/customrequest.php or contact our sales rep to find out more.

When are the courses offered?

Our courses are designed with the busy professionals in mind. Therefore, we offer many weekend classes. Expert-level courses are though during the business week as well.

What is the class size?

For lecture boot camps, there can be up to 35 students per class. In a hands-on boot camp, the limit is 12 students per class.

How long are the classes?

Each class day is 8 to 10 hours long. The total length of class depends on its level and topic. There are other variables, such as the students’ general knowledgebase, number of students in class, amount of questions generated, and on many outside factors, including Internet traffic, etc.

What do the different course levels mean?

ieMentor offers courses at three different levels of expertise: beginner, intermediate, and expert. Beginner level courses (1-2 days) address the needs of a novice in each particular field. Intermediate classes (2-3 days) are for those who already have a foundation in that field and want to take their skills to the next level. Expert classes (4-5 days) are the most comprehensive of all of our offerings. They consolidate many of our advanced courses into one. Students are expected to have intermediate-level skills in several areas of networking.
Each course offering is clearly labeled with a level by which you can sort the catalog.

How can I be sure of my level of expertise prior to registration?

Each of our catalog courses lists the course’s level, its target audience, and prerequisites. If you have additional questions, please contact support@iementor.com and ieMentor’s staff will work with you to help you make the determination.

Will any of the courses prepare me for a Cisco® certification?

Cisco® has a rich portfolio of exams and certifications. The majority of ieMentor courses are not geared toward specific certifications. The goal of our courses is to build up your knowledge in a specific area of interest to be applied to a real networking environment. However, any knowledge gained in any of our courses can go a long way in enhancing your chances of passing a Cisco® certification exam. You may use your learned skills any way you like.

How are ieMentor’s courses different from authorized Cisco® courses?

Normally, authorized full courses last for 5 days or more. They combine concepts suited for the beginner, intermediate, and advanced students. Depending on the students’ proficiency, they may feel disinterested or overwhelmed through portions of the training and because the authorized courses’ outlines are standardized, there isn’t a way to adjust course material on the spot. Also, due to their considerable length, courses are priced accordingly. ieMentor designed its courses to provide the students with maximum flexibility of pace. The different course levels allow students to choose the desired course based on their comfort level. It, in turn, awards them significant savings of time and cost.

How can I register for an authorized class?

ieMentor does not offer authorized classes. To register for an authorized class, contact Cisco Systems® for the list of Cisco® Learning Partners.

How up-to-date are ieMentor’s courses?

Our courses are always being reviewed for their timeliness and accuracy. When a need for change is identified, the course material is updated based on the newest product releases.

How do your prices compare to those of the competitors?

Our prices are much lower than those of the competitors for several reasons. First, our current prices are promotional and will likely change in the future. Second, our courses are not Cisco® authorized and, therefore, we are not committed to a specified pricing structure. Third, most of our classes are lecture-based instead of lab-based. Finally, our philosophy of “clarity, details, and to the point” allows us to design high-impact training that is shorter in duration than that of others. We strongly believe, however, that our format produces results just as effective, or more effective, than other companies’.

What does the Certification section of the web site mean?

Although the majority of ieMentor courses are not geared toward specific certifications, we offer several classes that follow Cisco® CCNA™, CCDA™, CCNP™, CCDP™, CCIP™, CCSP™, and CCVP™ certification tracks.

What does thecourse fee include?

The course fee includes the cost of tuition, course materials, hand-outs, breakfast and snacks.

What if I want all of the expenses included?

Contact our sales rep for custom pricing at sales@iementor.com.

Do I need to bring my own laptop?

Yes.

Will I be able to ship training materials back to my office?

Please let your instructor know, and he/she will coordinate the shipment.

Do I get a Certificate of Completion?

Each student who successfully completes an ieMentor course will receive a personal plaque from ieMentor as a Certificate of Completion. You will receive the plaque in the mail. Because each plaque is custom-made, it will take approximately 2 to 3 months to ship.

Do you have hotel suggestions?

Once you register for the class, you will be contacted by our sales team with recommended places to stay and eat in the vicinity.

What methods of payment are accepted?

We accept American Express, MasterCard, Visa, or check. Purchase orders will be accepted for approved organizations. Payment may also be made by company check. All necessary payment information is to be received at the time of registration. Students choosing a class from our course catalog and paying with a credit card can complete our secure online registration form. For other payment options, contact our sales rep at sales@iementor.com.

Can the class be held on-site and is there a discount for group registration and on-site classes?

Yes. Please fill out the Custom Request form to receive more information.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please review our Terms and Conditions.

How do I receive a refund?

If you cancel your registration 20 or more business days prior to the start date of class, you are eligible for a full refund, provided that you follow the cancellation procedure outlined in our Terms and Conditions. The refunds are mailed in the form of a check two to three weeks after the cancellation request.

Is it possible to attend to a personal matter during class and catch up later on?

If the student has a personal emergency during class that forces him/her to leave early, ieMentor will attempt to accommodate the student’s needs and allow the student to finish the class at a later date. Please review our Cancellation Policy for more information.

I have an idea for a new course. Whom should I contact?

We are always looking for new ideas. If you have an idea for a course that is not listed in our course catalog, please fill out the Custom Request form on our site. If you would like to help ieMentor in developing a new course, please visit our Careers site for contact information.
