Course Content

This boot camp uses a combination of lecture and hands-on lab exercises to teach students how to design, deploy, and maintain Cisco® IP Telephony networks consisting of Cisco® Call Managers, Unity Voicemail, Voice Gateways and IP Phones. In addition, you will practice with CRA - Customer Response Applications. This boot camp prepares you for the challenging CCIE™ Voice Lab.

Target Audience

This boot camp is for individuals who have worked with Cisco® IP Telephony products for some time already. You would want to take this class if you are looking to strengthen your IP Telephony knowledgebase to an expert level. Those who pursue CCIE™ Voice certification will greatly benefit from this course.

Prerequisite Knowledge

• Field experience using, maintaining, and troubleshooting Cisco® Call Manager, Cisco® Unity, and Voice Gateways.
• Field experience using the IOS® command line interface (CLI) to configure, maintain and troubleshoot Cisco® IOS® devices.
• Cisco® Certified Voice Professional (CCVP®) certification is preferred.

Course Objectives

• Given a large CIPT installation, identify and troubleshoot all CIPT features.
• Design CIPT installations with scalability, efficiency, and reliability in mind.
• Understand and implement a wide variety of CIPT features in a short amount of time.
